Winter’s New Color: Burgundy
Whenever I think of the color burgundy I always associate it with the Autumn season. It just feels so FALL. With that being said, this year I’ve added a few burgundy pieces to my collection and suddenly I’ve made burgundy my new go to color for winter. I love how it still feels festive, but also more understated than the traditional bright red. While in no way am I going to stop wearing burgundy in the fall, I also am going to embrace the shade for the wintertime and I encourage you to do the same!
This week alone I’ve worn two burgundy pieces! The first being this adorable peacoat that hits just above the knee.
I’ve always been a huge fan of peacoats because they are so versatile! They are light enough to throw on in the fall and not be too warm, while also make for a perfect layering piece in the winter. Peacoats are timeless, classy, and can be styled in so many ways.
I also wore a super cozy chunky turtleneck… I love this look because it was so warm and comfortable but also dressy for the office.
In one of my previous blog posts I talked all about my love of chunky turtlenecks and how to style them. One of the ways I mentioned was dressing it up by wearing it with a pencil skirt, I decided this week was the perfect time to do just that. The results came out wonderfully and I am definitely going to be taking my fashion advice more often!
Below are several style inspiration ideas for incorporating burgundy into your winter wardrobe.
